Thrift+ was founded to make the charity shopping experience as good as the best online clothes retailers, ensuring fewer clothes end up in landfill.
Our founder, Joe Metcalfe, left his job in 2014 with the mission of bringing charity shops online. In 2015, he built & launched the UK's first Click & Collect app for high street charity shops.
In 2017, Thrift+ was born, and we’ve been growing ever since. We’re building the best online shopping experience for second-hand clothes while making it easy for individuals and brands to re-sell unwanted items and give them a new life. At the same time, they also raise important funds for charity.
Sales of second hand clothes are predicted to over take sales of new clothes in the next few years, and we want to accelerate that journey by working alongside brands & retailers.
Thrift+ is our way to help clean up the fashion industry, bring the fun back to buying new clothes, and create a circular economy that reduces waste and builds a more sustainable future.
