At Thrift+, the health & safety of our warehouse team is our top priority. And so we have put in place additional measures to ensure that our team are able to abide by the social distancing advice when they are travelling to work, in the warehouse, and on their breaks.
Our team is currently at full strength, and due to expanding the team and further training, we are on track to half our current upload time of 10 weeks. We are accepting donations into the warehouse, as well as dispatching orders of items and Thriftbags as normal.

For our shoppers
We have had one or two questions about the safety of second-hand clothes regarding transmission of the virus, so we thought it may be useful to explain our processes. In particular, the timeline and the limited contact with our staff, so you can have confidence in the hygiene of any item you purchase.
When we receive our donation bags, they are put into a holding cage for at least 1-2 weeks before they are processed. This is a deliberate design of our processes to ensure that our team always have enough bags to process, but this also happens to be a useful 'quarantine' period for all the clothes we receive.
After they have been photographed, each item is folded into an individual (100% recycled) plastic bag where it stays until it is ordered by you!
We dispatch our items second-class, meaning it will be a minimum of 2-3 days between our staff handling your item and it arriving at your house. As with any home deliveries, we suggest asking the courier to leave the parcel on the doorstep to ensure 'contactless' delivery.
